The Purpose of SEVEN

To offer our members the greatest game experience possible, by uniting with other great players and working together towards our undeniable goal: To become the greatest guild Detheroc has ever produced - Feared by the Alliance, Revered by the Horde.

Vision Statement

By recruiting and retaining only the best players in the game, focusing on teamwork and an atmosphere of brotherhood, SEVEN will become the greatest guild that Detheroc has ever produced, and will dominate this server as long as it exists, or until such point as we collectively decide to try something new. We are not merely building an endgame guild: We are building a community of friends and brothers that will stand the test of time.

Core Values of SEVEN

TEAMWORK
You cannot solo endgame. Each of us is only as good as what we bring to the team, and the more we bring, the faster we all advance.

HIGH AMBITION
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. We aspire to be nothing less than the greatest guild Detheroc has ever produced.

INTEGRITY
Any achievement is empty if you don’t earn it, and like most things in life, how you get there is more important than when. Members of SEVEN do not cheat, exploit, hack, period.

HUMILLITY
When you really are the best, you don’t have to tell anyone. Our success will be dictated by our actions.

MAXIMUM FUN
This is a game after all, this is what we do to have a good time. Drama is never tolerated - neither is fun that comes at a cost to someone else.

REAL LIFE FIRST
This is a game. If you are a winner at Warcraft but a loser at life, guess what - you’re still a loser. Our members win both-ways.

BROTHERHOOD
Seven isn’t a relationship of convenience - it is a family. We look out for each-other, help each-other, and develop true friendships. A group of individuals is quickly torn apart by selfish desires. A brotherhood stands the test of time

Appendix A
  1. Endgame Raid Participation Points ( RPP )
    1. Purpose
      1. Loot Systems are necessary for the long-term health of the guild in that they provide a fair mechanism for distributing scarce resources among a multitude of people who want them. This prevents arguments, hurt feelings, or misguided expectations.
    2. Goal:
      1. A good loot system is fair, easy to administer and understand. It should reward people who have put their time in, and should provide new recruits an opportunity to grow as well.
      2. To this end, S E V E N has selected the “shroud” loot system for its fairness and simplicity.
    3. Earning Points:
      1. Points are earned based on time spent in the raid.
      2. 1 Point is earned by being in the instance at the raid start time
      3. 1 Point is earned for every half hour spent in the raid.
      4. So for a given 3-hour raid, a player who is there for the entire raid will earn 7 points.
      5. For bosses that have not been previously downed, ½ a point shall be awarded for every wipe and 5 bonus points will be awarded for the first downing. Any fractionally earned RPP is rounded up.
        1. On nights that are of bosses on "Hard Modes", these point values will be doubled.
      6. Partial RPP is available for players who are waitlisted and don’t end up getting into the raid. The partial amount is 3 RPP. To qualify for waitlist RPP, a player has to have both signed up as well as been online ready to fill-in when the raid started.
      7. RPP penalties will be levied against players who sign up for the raid, but do not show up. The penalty shall be equal to the amount of points available for that raid. This is in addition to the automatic rank demotion mentioned above.
      8. Players who show up late will have a -3 RPP penalty.
      9. Players who are not certain that they can show up, or show up on time, are encouraged to queue for the raid on standby and put a note in the comment section that they might be late, giving a expected time etc. This note may affect whether you are selected for the raid, but if you still make it, there will be no negative RPP penalty.
      10. Players in the queue will still be considered for addition to the raid before unlisted players if the raid is not full.
      11. If a player has multiple raiding alts, RPP will be attributed to the character taken to the raid. If the player is asked to take a certain character they will then have the choice of what character the RPP is assigned to.
      12. Any members who fail to sign up and who join the raid will earn RPP at ½ the normal rate, only receive RPP for time served in the raid, and will not be able to bid on contested loot.
    4. Spending Points:
      1. Points can be spent in two ways
        1. A player can bid “seven” – Which is exactly as it sounds... Seven points
        2. A player can also bid “half” – which means half of that player’s accumulated raid points
          1. In order to place a "half" bid, that player must have at least 21 points.
          2. If a winning half-bidder has more than 200 Points, the effective cap for the points that they will be charged is 100 points.
          3. If a "half" bid is a fractional number, the bid will be rounded down.
      2. No player will ever be required to bid on an item they don’t want.
      3. If there is a tie in bids, the item will be awarded by random roll.
      4. In all raids, if a player has already won a item in a contested bid, we request the courtesy of passing on subsequent contested items.
    5. Main Vs Off-spec Bids
      1. On half bids, main spec bids will always trump off-spec bids, even in the member who is bidding for off-spec has a higher RPP total.
      2. On seven (7) bids, it is requested that off-spec bids pass to main spec bids, but it is not required.

    Appendix B

    1. Raid Requirements
      1. Raid requirements are an essential part of our social contract. In a raid, we all need the assurance that every member is showing up prepared and doing their part to contribute to the success of the raid. Showing up unprepared to a raid without any of the following capabilities / Items subjects a player to consequences ranging from being asked to leave to correct the issue, to being replaced by a prepared player.
      2. Those requirements are:
        1. Ventrtillo
          1. We require the ability to both send and receive voice communications via ventrillo.
          2. You can acquire ventrilo, free of charge, from their official website: Link Here
          3. The Current connection information will be maintained as a pinned topic in guild business and in the guild info tab in-game
